Our duty to God and to country is to rebel against oppression, greed, and violence. It was only after years of tyranny and oppression that colonist banded together to defend themselves from the imperial forces of the British. These wars are against everything that is good, Christian and American. A tree is judged by its fruits. I do believe though that the military is never going to be able to effectively do either because it always seems to fall prey to the myth of redemptive violence. Ultimately, our call is to be obedient to God and trust in His protection. This may mean great sacrifices of ourselves and our families. I wish I could say that that isnt the case, but I truly believe it is.
